Art and Drama Teacher
Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art and Drama Teacher to inspire and guide students in exploring the visual and performing arts. The ideal candidate will foster a stimulating and inclusive environment that encourages artistic expression, critical thinking, and collaboration. This role involves teaching both theoretical and practical aspects of art and drama, organizing performances, exhibitions, and promoting students’ personal growth and confidence through creative pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Art and Drama classes aligned with the curriculum.
Teach students techniques in various visual arts mediums (painting, drawing, sculpture, digital arts, etc.) and drama (acting, stagecraft, improvisation, and play production).
Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression in students.
Organize school plays, drama productions, art exhibitions, and other related events.
Assess and provide constructive feedback on students’ work and performance.
Manage classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to integrate arts into broader educational programs.
Stay updated on developments in art and drama education and incorporate innovative teaching practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Drama, Theatre Arts, or a related field.
Teaching certification or license preferred.
Proven experience teaching art and/or drama at the [primary/secondary/high school] level.
Strong knowledge of various art mediums, drama techniques, and performance skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
