High School SPED Teacher
Summary:
The High School SPED Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring access to the general curriculum and helping each student reach their academic, behavioral, and social potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs.
Adapt and differentiate lessons to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities.
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote inclusion and student success.
Monitor and document student progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Provide behavioral and emotional support to foster a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Experience working with high school students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred.
